FAQs

If you still have questions after reading through our homepage, don't worry! Here we have collected all the questions we are being asked the most.

I am not a resident of Luxembourg. Can I still set up a company?

Yes, you can initiate the process. However, you must have at least one person holding the business permit who can guarantee the business's substance and maintain a continuous presence in Luxembourg. Typically, a Luxembourg company requires a manager who is a resident of Luxembourg.

Which legal entity should I choose?

It depends on your specific requirements and future objectives in Luxembourg. With us, you’ll have the option to incorporate either a SARL-S or SARL. You can learn more about the differences between a SARL-S and SARL here.

I don’t have an address in Luxembourg, nor do I have a bank account. Can you assist me with this?

Certainly, we can provide you with advice on where to establish your company and open a bank account. We have partners who can help you prepare in these and other areas (i.e accountant, trademark support, etc).

What is MyGuichet?

MyGuichet is an online platform in Luxembourg that provides government services and information to residents and businesses. It offers services related to civil status, taxes, social security, and business registration, allowing users to submit documents and applications online. This streamlines administrative processes and reduces the need for in-person visits to government offices.

Do you fill in and submit documents in MyGuichet on my behalf?

No, we do not. We cannot act as your representative to sign or submit documents on your behalf, and we will not request or accept any power of attorney. This means that although we are here to assist you throughout the process, the actual filing and submission of documents on MyGuichet must be done by you directly

We can help streamline the process, offering expert guidance on business structure, registering with relevant authorities, and assisting with legal documents. By partnering with Quickstart, you can ensure that your company is incorporated correctly and efficiently, giving you more time to focus on growing your business. You can learn more here.

Are you a law firm?

Quickstart is not a law firm and we offer consulting services aimed at assisting entrepreneurs in navigating the bureaucratic complexity of lining up the necessary documentation to incorporate in Luxembourg and start your operations in this marvellous country. You are responsible for all management decisions relating to the services, the use or implementation of the output of the services and for determining whether the services are appropriate for your purposes.

How long does it take to incorporate a company in Luxembourg?

The process of creating a company in Luxembourg usually takes around two to three weeks, but it can vary depending on several factors such as the availability of the required documents and the workload of the relevant authorities. It is however important to keep in mind that the creation of the entity per se does not imply that you'll be able to start operating. In fact, on top of the entity incorporation, you'll generally be required to obtain a Business Permit as well as a Luxembourg VAT number, and these may take up to 3 months to obtain from the moment the full documentation is submitted.
